Scottish Prehistoric Mug
This striking geometric design is a near replica of a very ancient mug found in Balfarg, Scotland. The grooved design and little loop handle all come from the original example from around 4,000 years ago. Made in a gorgeous dark earthenware clay on the wheel and hand decorated, it's a perfect addition to a history enthusiasts collection as well as beign a stylish functional mug for modern everyday use. The inside is glazed with a clear glossy glaze whilst the outside is smooth un-glazed ceramic to mimic the ancient example.
Holds approximately 280 ml of liquid.
Approximately 9.7 cm high x 8 cm daimeter at rim (not including the handle).
Handwashing is recommended as it's kinder on the materials, but also suitable for dishwashing.
You will receive the mug pictured. The curved sided mug also pictured is not included unless also purchased.
