Teacup - Ferns

This elegant yet earthy terracotta teacup is decorated with unfurling ferns on the forest floor. Enjoy the perfect cup of tea sipping away from this wheel thrown earthenware piece of ceramics, handmade in Perthshire, Scotland. It is decorated lovingly with slips (coloured liquid clay) in a mixture of painting on and slip trailing. And then the illustrative decoration is finished off with a scratching technique called Sgraffito. It is finished off with a glossy clear glaze. The inside of the cup has a lovely swirl to discover at the bottom of your cup of tea!
Holds approximately 17tml of liquid.
Measures about 9cm diameter at rim x 7cm high x 10.5cm wide including the handle.
