Medieval Dragon and Snail Creature Mug

A medieval inspired mug handmade on my potter's wheel and finished with a rusty red traditional Japanese glaze known as Tenmoku. 
This quirky mug takes  inspiration from the wonderful world of medieval manuscript art, featuring a knotted dragon, and a snail creature.
The design was achieved through using wax resist on the clay when glazing the white stoneware clay cup. 
The mug is approximately 9cm high, by 8cm rim diameter, not including the handle.
