Teacup - Toadstool 🍄 Amanita

This elegant yet earthy terracotta teacup is decorated with fungi, the mighty amanita muscaria toadstool, as well as leaves and ferns of the forest floor. Enjoy the perfect cup of tea sipping away from this wheel thrown earthenware piece of ceramics, handmade in Perthshire, Scotland. It is decorated lovingly with slips (coloured liquid clay) in a mixture of painting on and slip trailing. And then the illustrative decoration is finished off with a scratching technique called Sgraffito. It is finished off with a glossy clear glaze. The inside of the cup has a lovely swirl to discover at the bottom of your cup of tea!
Holds approximately 200ml of liquid.
Measures about 8.5cm diameter at rim x 8cm high x 10.5cm wide including the handle.
